>1,000 Visitors to my Blog Yesterday!

It’s been tantalisingly close for some weeks now, but for the first time since starting my blog 4 years ago, I tipped over the magic 1,000 visitors mark yesterday.

The actual number was 1,103 visitors, and that doesn’t include me (I filter out my own ip address from the stats). It’s interesting that Mondays or Tuesdays are always the busiest days, then it drops off throughout the week with just over half the normal traffic at the weekend. I’m guessing it’s people bored at work who mostly visit my site then, lol!

Next stop, 10,000! 😉

  I struggle to get past 10 and that’s without filtering mine out! Strange because my blog is bloody funny 😉

  Strange indeed Paul, perhaps your blog is just too niche, being confined mostly to people that just know you (I was going to say like you, but that might have been a bit strong). 😉

  sm, there are many ways to increase the number of visitors to your blog, but the #1 thing you must do is this: have great unique content. For example the last post I wrote, about self defence law in the UK took me 5 hours to write just that one post.

  If you are talking about your famouspeople website, I would suggest that copying and pasting from wikipedia doesn’t fall into the category of great unique content!

  No need to be rude Col 😀 most of my content is made up :-D. My advice, as you’re asking… make it funny. On my really funny blog entries I was getting over 20 unique visitors. Oh yeah baby

  I have a great t-shirt idea for you. I mean it’s a big one, real money spinner. Just need to work out how to sell it to you 🙂
